Pros

Able to work from home, nice coworkers, otherwise, not much else

Cons

More work is piled on top of you than can possibly be finished and you have to work really hard and fast to accomplish it - which means having to do a sloppy job sometimes. When you are actually able to meet your goals there is only a 1.5 % pay raise, and when you make such a low salary it means squat. Morale is low. Management is ineffective, they don't listen to employees' concerns, nothing ever gets done in a timely manner. Don't even know who my upper level managers are, never bothered to introduce themselves; no communication at all with current manager. Feel looked down upon from managers. No room for advancement. Training is a joke. The tools they provide are riddled with mistakes and no one bothers to correct. Sometimes systems are changed but not necessarily improved. This place is a hot mess.

Pros

Chubb and ACE employees combined are the best team in the business.

Cons

The two highly successful but very different cultures are difficult to combine. While the ACE or Chubb cultures have each prevailed in different areas, some areas are struggling to be defined. As a mid-level manager at ACE the culture of entrepreneurship and the ability of individuals to make an impact was gratifying. Chubb, although highly successful, is extremely resistant to changing and progressing. Low and middle managers see changes such as efficiencies as a threat to employee job security and their comfortable way of doing things. Ironically, willingness to propose and implement progressive changes was recognized at ACE and enhanced job security. They are two different cultures and neither is necessarily right or wrong. But from a business standpoint there is a reason that a 35 year old company was able to grow to the point where it was capable of acquiring a 150 year old company.

Pros

Pay scale is good. Advancement opportunities are good.

Cons

Benefits are just OK. Loyalty to employees is poor. Team Culture is poor; every man for themselves.
