      Pros

      The company is flexible with those who perform and provides a solid work / life balance. There are excellent benefits. The reporting structure is knowledgeable and easy to work with.

      Cons

      The company takes a long time to make decisions. There are some technological deficiencies that could lead to a slower pace.

      Pros

      Great Work Life Balance - Work from home highly encouraged, once justified. Thoughtful approach to underwriting. Very friendly and helpful teams - People make time to assist each other

      Cons

      Very political. Often feels like you need to know someone to get ahead in what's a very flat organization. People are so nice sometimes that you can't get open, honest advice.

      Pros

      Chubb lives up to its reputation of being the best insurer and providing the best coverage, with a culture that strives to achieve that mission. Great PTO offerings, good bonus structure for high performers, great people with good camaraderie. A lot of long-time employees.

      Cons

      Continual reduction in field claim staff over my 13 years with Chubb resulted in unreasonable increases in demand of travel by property claim adjusters. Requirement to be "on call" for catastrophes 3 months each year with the expectation that you are available 1-2 weeks before and after each month in essence makes you "on call" 5+ months per year. Many/most advancement opportunities require relocation, which the company will not fund.
