Pros

Thought long and hard on this… nothing came to mind. Being generous and it’s all depends on role if you get exposure but the international and global footprint. Chubb may be acquiring AIG so potentially more exposure there. I was part of CAP when I joined and they sold me did the intern program prior and everything. I was team Chubb…

Cons

Toxic culture reinforced by a rigid, outdated corporate hierarchy. Mandatory in-office mandates with little regard for productivity or employee wellbeing. Even if you find a great group of coworkers who are truly friends and some of the best people ever.. I could never work for a company so toxic. The company’s reputation exists for a reason… I learned that firsthand.

Pros

Money and benefits for people joined early

Cons

The company maintains a facade of digital transformation, but in reality, it’s entrenched in outdated systems and rigid waterfall processes, with technical decisions made solely based on cost by non-technical business stakeholders. There’s massive inconsistency in workload between teams—some are overloaded, while others barely engage—fueling resentment and disengagement. Leadership is often inexperienced, with many promoted without merit into roles they’re unqualified for, creating a culture of incompetence, insecurity, and toxicity. Office politics are rampant, and there’s an unhealthy, cutthroat competition between teams and individuals chasing visibility and promotions, often at the expense of collaboration and delivery quality. The pressure to move fast leads to poor outcomes and technical debt, while management remains focused on optics over real progress. Once known for attractive compensation, salaries are no longer competitive, removing one of the few reasons people stayed. Overall, a deeply toxic and politically driven environment—not recommended.

Pros

Tons of opportunity to learn. If you’re looking to learn as much as you can and take on collateral duties within your role like arbitration, mentoring, and special projects- the opportunity is there and you wouldn’t likely need to put in too much effort to receive those opportunities. Diverse work.

Cons

Salary and raises are laughable. 20% below industry average for base, raises of 1-2% unless management really fights for you, consistently high turnover (thus the reason why all the opportunities are there), CEO does not care about employees, employees find out about major things like return to office and office closures/reopening any fishbowl before management, non existent work life balance because you’re “salaried” and therefore expected to keep up with 100 transfers a month sometimes because of people leaving in droves for better pay and treatment. HR bait and switched new hires with a hybrid schedule and about two week later the CEO announced a strict return to office policy that only have 1 extra day back after a 5 day rerun was originally conveyed and employee backlash flared. Insured risk pool is generally kind, but management can (and does) allow them to speak however they would like to employees without any repercussions or corrections, and the insureds have an abnormally large (and scary) amount of deciding power in claims. Favoritism and workplace “drama” are abundant and nearly unavoidable. Toxic culture where you are praised for working late nights and early mornings to keep up with the never ending load of transfers.
