To many ASR’s in the company who have a sense of entitlement Mid management often doesn’t get it Too many politics involved to get promoted Most ODs are just trying to climb the ladder and don’t do a good job in leading teams AMs have gotten lazy and forgotten how to cold call People who should be fired continue to make lateral moves and are never let go Cisco needs to clean out the bottom 5% every year and they have gotten away from that practice. Too many outside consultants The whole review process is a joke Too many internal meetings when you should be out with clients You have to leave to get promoted to higher spot at times

Recent years Cisco hasn't been giving annual merit increases. This month it has cut back on many things such as free drinks, home internet access and etc. It's understandable in this economy. However, I think the company should stop paying a huge premium for companies with no customers or no profit. Instead they should use that money to do internal R&D and use part of that money as incentives to current employees to come up with innovative ideas and products.
