Constant change. Interesting products and lots of them. Company ideals are admirable.

Cons

Constant change. Globalisation means jobs moving from the U.S. to India.

Pros

Stable, In the Bay Area, Lots of People to interact with. It's relatively easy going culture with many chill employees.

Cons

Large, Bureaucratic, lots of H1-B's. Just like any other huge large tech corporation, this is what you'll find at Cisco. These are not huge issues but something that gets to you over time. Not only that, the compensation, while not bad takes a much longer time to develop into something more substantial. But in this economy, the pay is still very good. Cisco tends to have alot of meetings every week, which also turns to be a nuisance, since you have meetings constantly in the morning so you stay late to do the actual work.

Pros

Cisco offers reasonable pay, ranked as top 25 paid company by CNN. Good name recognition. 4 weeks vacation. No major layoffs or RIF yet.

Cons

Long hours: 9 am - 7 pm. Might be common in bay area, but it's two hours more compared with east coast. The company headquarter sites in San Jose, a very expensive area.
