      Pros

      Very large, stable company with a lot of opportunity to move between divisions. It is well known and has a good reputation in the industry.

      Cons

      Very ridged process that can be oppressive. No work-life balance. They are struggling to expand their business outside of the network and some of the new strategies are successful and some are definitly not.

      While a clear market leader; lot of product momentum. Ultimately, Cisco is aligned with many of the growth drivers in technology over the intermediate to long term. Efficient corporate culture Great reputation for financial controls

      Pros

      If you are looking for a stable, comfortable job that offers an excellent work/life balance, then you should strongly consider working at Ciso. The benefits are also excellent. It's a great place to work at while you focus on raising your family or completing an advanced degree.

      Cons

      You may get bored with the repetitive, highly specialized tasks and start to feel like a cog in a wheel over time. You will definitely not be paid as much as peers at other companies...there is a cost to all those wonderful benefits. At the middle management level, there are lots of office politics that can really be a drag to endure. The pace of change is also ridiculously slow.
