      Pros

      Cisco is such a great place to work--the senior management emphasizes integrity and productivity. For a company of its size, politics are not such a big issue. Cisco is a great place to work remotely too. Benefits and career opportunities are good and compensation is roughly in the mid to high range compared to other comparable companies.

      Cons

      It's hard to ramp up at first--because it's such a large place and there are a lot of internal systems and lingo to learn. Unless you're a director and manage at least 4-6 people, you are in a cube. Sometimes it's hard to know who to reach out to for information on various topics.

      Pros

      Large company, good benefit, good environment, people are extremely nice to each other. A very nice view of Great America and Silicon Valley from the building. A very diverse company.

      Cons

      This is for WebEx, a company Cisco bought about a year ago. This has nothing to do with Cisco, but WebEx alone. Basically, whoever speaks the loudest will get recognized, not the person who gets the most done. So hard work and talents usually do not get rewarded with recognition or compensation. Many valuable talents have left the company because of beauracracy and politics. There are too many mid-level managers that worry about their job security too much, and discourage employee growth. It is a stable place to be in terms of job security, but if you are young and want to learn and advance, this is not a good place for you.
