Pros

Honestly, being at Cisco is a total breath of fresh air compared to the usual "grind culture" in tech. What really sets it apart for me is that they actually treat you like a human being with a life outside of Slack. Between the "Days for Me" (which are basically free long weekends the whole company takes together) and the super flexible hybrid setup, you never feel burnt out. The coolest part, though, is the sheer scale of what we’re working on. One day you’re looking at AI-driven networking and the next you’re seeing how the Splunk integration is changing the game for security. It’s a massive portfolio, so you’re never "stuck" in one niche.

Cons

If there’s a downside, it might be that the portfolio is absolutely massive. Sometimes it feels like you’re trying to learn a library that’s being written while you're reading it. Between the constant acquisitions (like Splunk) and the shift into AI-native networking, it can be legitimately overwhelming to keep up with everything. But you can turn all of these into opportunities.
