Pros

The closeness of fellow managers is great. The willingness to help each other out.

Cons

Constant traveling. You have to pay out of pocket for all traveling expenses including hotel and airfare. You can only get reimbursed for the hotel they choose and you have to share the room with someone.

Pros

Fast-paced, high energy, ability to move laterally as well as vertically.

Cons

Must be in the building (Corporate) by 9:00 and don’t dare think about leaving before 3:00, fewer days off than other Fortune 200 companies, atrocious benefits package, no paid time off for new parents, no flex time, absolutely no working from home during inclement weather, a “we don’t know what to do but we’re going to figure it out and work everyone harder” mentality, and an Executive Management team that has their heads buried in the sand when it comes to improving the employee experience.
