Pros

Dish offers career growth to those who are willing to put in the effort and energy. I have had a long career that has continued to provide opportunity. I started by working in the cafeteria at the corporate headquarters and have been able to progress from a local and remote Technician, to a Centralized Trainer, to a Remote Field Service Manager and now to Operations Manager. Dish helped me get there by provided tuition help with college classes and multiple other benefits to help me be successful. I have always felt valued and part of the larger picture within the company. I have seen the business grow itself over my tenure and have always been impressed with the innovation and progress it has continually made.

Cons

- From a field side of the business, there is no set end time to hours. Could be challenging if specific work hours are required. - Change happens rapidly and often. If employees struggle with change and are not adaptable, it could be difficult for them to remain successful over long periods of time.

Pros

Good employee base but upper management is very micro so they become very discruntal quickly and usually leave. 401 k is decent. Loved the company but the leadership is very sub par. Everything is treated like an excuse and not a challenge. Still continue their service because I believe it's the best in the industry.

Cons

Benefits are horrible high deductible and out of pocket cost. Expectations on technicians are to high and most of the goals are unachievable which the only way to get promoted is reaching them so we didn't see a lot of folks get promoted. Field managers are overworked and usually work 12 to 14hrs a day. There is no gap in work load based on tech levels newer techs are doing just as much if not more than 15 year tenured techs. Non union environment which let's this happen. Most of the leadership are yes men and would fire an employee to save their own butt so if you're military this place would drive you crazy because there is no loyalty.

Pros

The local staff I worked with. They were a great bunch of individuals who strived to succeed.

Cons

The Business is run "off the cuff". They talk about improving work/life balance but it never improved in the time I was there.
