Pros

Fun and friendly co-workers. You have the opportunity to only work 39 hours for two weeks and still make more then if you worked a full 80 hours. This is only if you never go to advance tech support.

Cons

In the Riverfront call center in Littleton Co they have a poster saying how to move up in the company. It is Customer support 1 then 2, "bulling and moderate tech support, then advance tech support, and then supervisor. This is a lie. In the last 3 years I have worked there they have only promoted the cs1 or 2 to that position with them being out of high school and only working there for less then a year. Most of the advance tech workers stay there with little to no recognition. We are labeled that we have bad attitudes. This is only because we do twice the work and know more about the business and working dish and never get promoted. I wanted Dish to be a place that I could have a career. That was all tossed away when I became advance tech. Most of my old coworkes have quit and gone to Comcast. Better pay and once they have got you they know you will not go anywhere because of the terrible treatment at Dish and pay. Management only knows how to look at numbers, but have no idea on what the numbers means.

Pros

I still have this job until I find a new one.

Cons

The bad reviews you read here is true and the company getting worse... every week it’s the same thing with managers threatening to fire if we don't make sales. They already fired like 10 people at our office this year and another 5 quit because they found something better. I try my best to offer the product to the customer but they don’t want it and my job is still at risk???? I spend most of my time on a job to reinstall and ground other techs installs because they said they don’t have time to make it right because they are too busy selling. My productivity goes down fixing other peoples work and my managers still complains about me not selling. I let them know what the situation is and they don’t care…they tell me to go talk to the top sellers to get advice... so I go talk to the top sellers and they tell me stuff that they are doing that doesn’t sound like they should be doing to make sales..sometimes I go out to a job and the surge protector is still new in the boxes and when I ask the techs that install it what happened, they just tell me they leave it there and make the customer sign without them knowing because they don’t speak english. The managers know about it because the same techs talk about it in front of them during our meetings and they know who it is. They know these techs will give me the wrong advise but they still want me to do what they are doing to keep my sales up. I’m tired of it...getting yelled at for not making sales….getting yelled at for fixing other peoples work….it gets old fast. I’m looking for a new job now since it’s only a matter of time before they fire me.
