Pros

* There are some really great people at DISH * Employee discount on DISH television service (but shouldn't it be free?) * Lots of field positions where you can work from home * Innovative products, such as the Hopper

Cons

* The worst health benefits and vacation benefits of any company I've worked for * Micro-management and unprofessionalism at all levels of the company * If you work from home, you're expected to be "on call" at all times, even weekends and days off * If you work in the office, they are very strict on punctuality (even if you're a minute late, and even if you're an IT person who has worked all night on a computer issue) * If you travel with co-workers, you will have to share a hotel room * Expense reimbursement takes about 3 weeks * They do not give you a company credit card for expenses. You pay everything up front. * Lack of direction of the company * Terrible reputation of the company - upper management has resorted to asking DISH employees to write good things about the company on Glassdoor to try and improve their ratings

Pros

Hmmmmmm, give me some time, I'll think of something. Uhm sorry nope, nothing comes to mind. Wait, wait, somethings coming...oh yeah, free top tier programming.

Cons

Uber micromanagement. Complete and utter lack of trust. Pay well below the market. They love to make the employees think they are easily disposable. My manager once said he wished he could just have a team of robots and that pretty much nails it.

Pros

You grow close to the people around you and get a good sense of family outside of family with your assignment team. a good agent can easily attain 1k a week from this job.

Cons

They recentyl (as of sept 2012) revamped the pay structure into a complex web of mathematical algorithms to pay their sales reps. Not only does your pay literally change from day to day, but there is no way to track/project what pay you would look forward to on your check. This dominoes into your personal life when it comes to bill, budgeting, leisure, etc. ABSOLUTELY NO UPWARD MOBILITY INTO CORPORATE UNLESS YOU MOVE TO COLORADO.... UMMM NO! ET - this acronym stands for extra time; Yes, you've read it correctly people. This company blatantly disregards any employees personal lives. You are forced to work a "mandatory" 10+ hours of "extra time" per week; and management is quick to reprimand those who don't by bullying and threatening the denial of vacation approval and job loss. When you enter those doors you are simply a number; a disposable tool. What takes the cake is that they schedule the overtime a week in advance.... HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF SUCH NONSENSE.... And again not all managers are tools but for the most, they are
