      Pros

      The people you work with are great. You are given great training and leadership. If you put the work in, You will get rewarded greatly.

      Cons

      Every job has its downs, But with all the perqs you get at dish, The Pros highly out weigh the cons. The company is starting to highly encourage College Education for advancement in the company, while it would help self devolpment, its tough with busy day to day life.

      For people who want to work hard and demonstrate their abilities, DISH is very rewarding both financially and professionally. A lot of interaction with upper level management and the opportunity to quickly influence decision makers

      Cons

      Inconsistent policies regarding out of office work can make it difficult to manage family life if it conflicts with standard work hours. Benefits are average due to the low vacation time for the first 5 years. 2 weeks to start and 3 at 5 years

      Pros

      This company is all about rewarding and developing its best people . If you want to do a good job and are excited about yourself and your company, Dish will put the time in to help you develop you. With everything from bonuses to promotions tied to your performance, the harder you work and the better quality you put out, the better the rewards. Over the last few years Dish had made many strides to try to change the negative perception that it has here. From changing its holiday schedule to new uniforms to exciting new promotions like UFC events, Dish is trying to react to what their employees want.

      Cons

      As many of the negative reviewers will say, it's not an "easy" place to work. The enrivronment is fast paced, always challenging, and performance is measured. If you aren't willing to put in the effort, this is not the company for you. The metrics are not unrealistic like others have said as the majority of techs have been successful at getting promoted and getting their bonuses.
