Pros

The work environment at the call center was amazing. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. Managers were very hands-on and co-workers were very helpful.

Cons

I did not like how sales were constantly pushed and overtime was not really paid. The hours were not that flexible with my school schedule.

Pros

It's an entrepreneurial environment in a Fortune 200 company with the resources to make things happen. There are tons of opportunities to make a difference and work on projects that are substantial and provide opportunities for personal exposure and growth. Ample opportunities for training. You're never bored at DISH.

Cons

Would like to see better benefits, particularly healthcare improvements and more paid time off.

Excellent opportunities if you're willing to work hard

Pros

The people that work at DISH are amazing; genuinely some of the most intelligent, hard working, innovative and creative people I've ever worked with. There are more opportunities than you can shake a stick at if you're willing to work hard and ask for those opportunities. Things are really starting to change with Joe Clayton in office and the launch of the Employee Engagement survey. I'd encourage anyone to come work for DISH if you're looking for great experience that you can't get somewhere else - DISH is always willing to take a chance on someone who embodies their values even if they don't necessarily have the skill set.

Cons

There is so much talent, that often hard workers go unrecognized and are under appreciated. Pay raises are very small annually, generally only 1-3% if you get one; the only way to make more is to leave the company. The benefits at DISH are really quite bad - a $5,000 deductible for an employee plus one. The organization is very hierarchical, which makes it difficult for non-executives to impact change.
