Pros

Pay is good for these parts, especially if you stick with it for a few years. Pay increases quickly as you move up the ladder and bonuses are generous if you make your metrics. Dish is all about the metrics, so do well there and you will have a steady job and move up quickly.Workplace is nice, and my supervisors and managers have always treated my professionally. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) and of course free TV.

Cons

Definitely have to stick the rules. Don't try to be crafty or sneaky or to bend the rules. Dish is a large corporation that rewards following the system.

Pros

After looking for a new job for the last few months, my perspective of Dish has changed: - Professional work environment - Management always treated me well and with respect - Over time was mandatory (but it's better than no OT, right?) - Pay was competitive

Cons

The reason I quit was because of the vacation time. My in-laws offered to let us stay at their place in Florida for 2 months. I asked off, and Dish said no. You usually only get 2 weeks of PTO a year after working there for at least 12 or 18 months.

Pros

I worked for Dish for 2 years and it was really a good experience for me. The work environment was pleasant and my coworkers were friendly and helpful. This was my first job in a call-center, but the training was thorough and initially a supervisor frequently checked up on me. I guess it depends on the trainer, but I found that our classroom training was actually pretty complete. The first call I answered was still a little bit nerve-racking, but soon I got over it. I've found that management (managers, coaches, supervisors, and trainers) treat us with respect and as responsible adults. Even as a call-center newbie, I was promoted after 12 months and think that this experience helped me get a management position in a call-center (where I work today)

Cons

There's a high employee turnover. I think that's largely because HR doesn't clearly set expectations for what it's like in the call-center. But it affects all of us in the call-center because we're constantly having to train new people. The health care options are pretty bad and I ended up just opting out of it.
