Being a part of something very amazing.
I never like when Dish Execs say Dish is not for everyone. Dish IS for everyone. It is a place to explore, learn, challenge yourself and endeavor to be better. Walking through the front door with an employee badge means you are not afraid of a challenge and are about to work on some pretty cool stuff. This is TV not knitting. Television is a 24/7 business. If systems are at risk or a customer has family coming for Christmas and needs a rush Hopper install, they are not calling 911. Customers rely upon the willingness, passion and support of highly trained Dish Employees to maintain service. You will be asked to give your all. So... It is a competitive industry with a lot of reward. You have to be prepared to be passionate about your work, love the product, embrace being an agent of change, endeavor to innovate and enjoy running circles around the competition. That is for everyone.
Dish is selective regarding who gets to join the team. Never understood what was wrong with that. Dish expects you to be on time to work. Thank God, so do I. And, so does the rest of corp America.
Cons
Dish was not prepared for the fast growth and does not have the people systems in place to compete with the best companies in America.
