      stressful but lucrative position in sales

      Pros

      I worked at Dish for 5 years but left in 2012. (I heard it has changed some since then from coworkers that I'm still in touch with.) Working in sales was stressful. Hours are long and you real, but it was the most money I've made per month. Product is one of the best on the market. Obviously this has a big effect on sales people. A good sales person could make decent money at any company, but at Dish you can make really good money. Commissions structure were built to incentivize sales staff, and Dish does a good job at that.

      Cons

      Very stressful and managers aren't accommodating to individual employees needs. Employees that aren't performing face job insecurity. Variable income if your sales aren't steady

      Good product, good customers, good company

      Pros

      Product is truly the best on the market, as is made evident by increased ARPU and overall revenue. Best packages, best technology, best mobile apps. Customers are generally great. Despite having the best products in the market, Dish is accessible to most American families and our customers are generally grateful. Corporate culture is challenging and rewarding. Coworkers quickly become friends through working together late into the night to finish a project.

      Cons

      Not much, but I think that some areas are too focused on reporting. Reporting KPIs for dashboards and performance metrics of techs and agents ... Reports on the number of reports. I guess this comes with the territory at a company this size, but it can be little frustrating sometimes.

      Pros

      Steady paycheck is competitive compared to other corporate accounting departments Benefits include health insurance, 401k match, and depending on your position stock options Professional and friendly work place. My immediate team is kind and supportive. Our heavy workloads bring us together! Efficent and high standards of accounting Great experience working in Fortune 100 company

      Cons

      Sometimes the workload can be overwhelming, and it's certainly a challenge at times. My manager is generally understanding, but what has to be done has to be done PTO is limited -- especially for the first 2 years
