Pros

GREAT PEOPLE TO WORK WITH

Cons

Upper Management steps over front line management there can be something that is requested for the technicians for months and never approved untill some high strung regional manager comes in and asks the techs what they need and poof these items are suddenly ordered making it look like front line management isnt doing anything. Upper management pushes out wright ups to technicians for not connecting phone lines to recievers without being able to verify if the resididence even has phone line. when front line managers object this upper management says you there manager own the wright up and issue it. Now front line management has a disgruntled workforce complaining to Human Resources and front line management gets there job threatened. For Dish Network its all about making profit and not giving anything in return. The company is more worried of the clenliness of the fleet than the quality of there installs. Management is underpaid for working from 6am to 10pm . Work is often repeated! Techs direct managers are required to audit techs tools twice a month then the magers manager has to conduct a tool audit on the same techs for no reason because if a tech is missing a tool Regional managers will not approve tool orders making the work a waste of time we can be growing techs instead of doing busy work. Do not work fr this company many are finding there way out as i will be soon!

Pros

- co-workers were very friendly and outgoing - interns were treated respectfully by upper management (not necessarily by your manager though) - intern program work was meaningful, all of us had individual projects that had significant impact on the company - great for the work experience, but would not work there full-time

Cons

- barely any diversity - lack of corporate social responsibility, no recycling, no corporate wide community service - company is very stingy, the offices are cheap and ugly. I never had office supplies and had to hoard them from other people. There wasn't a community office supply cabinet. - managers and employees stretched too thin, I never saw my manager while working as an intern, which is frustrating because I could never ask him questions. - terrible communication between groups, lots of duplicate projects and resources being wasted - low rewards for hard work, pay is LOW - for being an IT intern, business technology lacked behind industry standard. We were still using MS Office 2003 and finally installed an internal search engine when I was there - business was ran poorly by upper management, you can tell the company grew too fast and it still feels like management tries to run it like a small company, but very unorganized

Pros

Some really great and talented people work there until they can find another job, excluding management. Management does not realize the extent of the talent that they have.

Cons

They treat people like they are dirt. I've been working for over 40 years and have never been treated that bad anyplace. I finally quit when I realized that I had it better when in was Vietnam.
