Pros
- Cool Industry - Discounted TV - Cafeteria on Premises - Inter-departmental transfers are very easy
Cons
- Family Medical Plan is VERY expensive. $6,000 deductible. - No work from home flexibility. They say it depends on your manager. So you better hope you get a cool manager. - You must physically badge in before 9:00 AM or else your management team will get an e-mail. - You must come in during very dangerous inclement weather. There is only word of mouth approval to stay home if you, "feel your safety is impacted" The leadership in our department judges people if they stay home during blizzards. Many managers tell their employees they must take PTO if they don't drive in. - No vacation day on MLK, President's Day, and absolutely no half days before holidays. They just made Christmas Eve an official holiday in 2019. - Depending on your department, it is hard to be promoted or get a pay increase. Very old school leadership. Leadership acts as if you need them more than they need you. - I've heard from the mouths of leadership that if you aren't putting in 50-60 hours, you don't need a promotion because you aren't going above and beyond your job. - Founder of the company, "doesn't believe in diversity" - Only offers FMLA for a new child or adoption. No additional pay or support during your leave unless you sign up for short term disability.
