Pros

Decent pay. Workloads usually not excessive.

Cons

Excessively PC environment. Fully bought-in to COVID hysteria. IT staff dominated by Indian imports, many with poor English communication skills. Project requirements often poorly defined.

Pros

- Many skilled and talented employees who care, many have been there so long they don't know there is better else where. - Opportunity to push yourself by working long weeks on challenging projects - Engineering leadership trying to make changes to improve culture - Once you earn trust, ability to explore opportunities outside of assigned duties - The company is rolling out programs which amount to little more than window dressing to improve the culture

Cons

- Badging in and out like it is a prison and time reports - Benefits are poor and sub-par - Most executive leadership views all staff as disposable and treats them as such.

Pros

Lots of learning opportunities if willing to learn. Many solid people who can deliver good software. IT engaged in limited attempt to become agile.

Cons

Too many unproductive middle management with no practical purpose in an agile world. Too many PM's and support role people making agile team top-heavy and unproductive. Industry is on down hill trajectory. Company spent way too much capital on useless spectrum without telling anyone what are the actual goal of hording them. No bonuses, very small raises. Performance review are used as tools to keep wage low, not to reward or to invest in people. There is no incentive to be better for employees. There is no financial rewards for outperforming one's duty. The only people awarded seems to be directors or above. Still reward employees based on how many fires they put out and not how many fires they avoid putting out. The "idiot" clubs are for actual idiots who would work extra without any additional incentives.
