      Many members of the downtown staff are nice and helpful

      Cons

      I was "Managed Out". I was told by an executive one tier above my direct manager that the direct manager didn't like me. Instead of coaching me or driving towards improvement, the manager gave me the silent treatment until I left. Insufficient benefits that do not cover any diagnostic testing. "People development" and "career pathing" are buzz words, but no actual programs exist to help an employee climb the ladder

      Pros

      I have been with Dish for some time now, I started as an agent and worked my way up. There is so much opportunity for those that put a little effort into their job and the company has positions all over the country and love to hire from within. My Coach is great and I really like my current management, they work hard to ensure your voice is heard and that you feel like a valuable employee. There are lots of positives happening in our site right now and with the business. Looking forward to the future!

      Opportunity as a Benefit

      Pros

      -Fast moving, high energy environment keeps things fresh and exciting every day -Trusted early in my career with extremely sensitive information and HUGE decisions -The work that I do every day has a gigantic impact on the business -No other company would have taken the chance on me with the lack of experience that I had in analytics and given me the opportunity that I've had -Genuine desire by management of all levels to improve morale and work/life balance, but some struggles with actually executing on that desire

      Cons

      -CPAW does not describe good culture, it describes results. There is an overwhelming 'meat grinder' feeling at DISH that makes people feel like numbers and CPAW doesn't help. -There is a pretty antiquated sense of how business should be done. Inflexible work weeks, sick days come from PTO, unwillingness to allow work from home (even just occasionally), emphasis on hours instead of output even for salary employees -Market-median pay and benefits. We can build the Best Team but we can't keep the Best Team.
