Decent. Wouldn’t do again, wouldn’t recommend
Pros
Opportunity (except this came to a halt during covid). A lot of good people, but they don’t seem to get the management opportunities for whatever reason.
Cons
Benefits are horrible when comparing to the market average. I feel terrible about those that were on Dish health plan and being forced into the office prematurely. The 401k is decent, but too many companies offer 1:1 plus no vesting period. PTO isn’t great and it takes a long time to accrue. Badge policy is absurd. Can’t even enjoy the back patio without badging out (yes they track your hours in the building). Depending where you land, leadership can be extremely toxic. I have seen verbal/written abuse (yes it was reported and nothing done). I have heard sr. Managers and directors say over and and over “if you don’t like the culture just leave”. Dish will not change unfortunately for them. Politics dictate most of the advancement opportunities especially at manager and above.
