Pros

Some great people trapped in a dystopian corporate hellscape

Cons

Enormous pressure based on artificial deadlines. The team I work on has experienced turn over of at least 80% but instead of fixing anything they just push the remaining developers until they themselves quit. The only people who have not left are only there because either they do nothing and in a climate of constant chaos expectations are low or they require continued employment to maintain a visa status. The benefits are crap and as a new hire, they will not give you ANY benefits for 60 days. They will also attempt to trick you by saying that the downtown office is different but that is not at all true as it falls under the same horrible corporate structure. Working for Dish was the worst mistake of my career and I would not wish it on anyone.

Pros

Great opportunities for those who seek them and deliver - lots of responsibility and ability to make an impact on a great product.

Cons

Outdated management culture starting with the time policies. Pay and Benefits not competitive for modern software stack engineers.
