Danaher Business Systems offers value as a framework for corporate consistency

Cons

This company has disregarded the value that individuals bring to the ongoing operation of the company. Positive energy and enthusiasm related to achieving corporate goals have been extinguished as the continual drive to seek additional profit from every corner has overwhelmed the organization. People and their institutional knowledge have been canceled in favor of strict adherence to every aspect of DBS. Moreover, customer service and vendor relations are similarly failing.

This is a “pro” but one that hasn’t been without discomfort on my journey with DHR- I’ve been fortunate since day 1 to be put in circumstances that stretch my capabilities and be given room for failure. This is awesome because I’ve been able to accelerate my career in ways that I never imagined. It’s also been incredibly uncomfortable at times because, let’s face it, growth and change is hard and sometimes comes from failure!

Cons

Those assignments and development opportunities are fantastic, but in a lean environment where there is no shortage of work can sometimes mean a struggle to find work/life balance or integration.
