Great metric driven atmosphere with solid processes and but no accountability

Pros

Learn the Lean / Toyota production system type tools in short order. If you aren't satisfied in your current role, wait six months for the next reorg and you'll be doing something different. Great place for the metric driven, technical personality. The top execs know the business well and are very engaged.

Cons

Not well suited for people who don't want their dirty laundry laid out in the wall for all to see and sometimes help fix. However, the accountability is lacking because turnover is so high that they can't afford to lose the skills the low performers possess. Plan on working Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve building product even if you are office staff to avoid hiring more headcount.

Pros

Strong financial health, deep pockets for acquisitions. When they enter a segment they want to dominate it. Good sense of who to buy and when. Good comp plans. Lot's of opportunity to advance and grow.

Cons

It is run by bean counters. In all the lines of business you will find a person with an accounting background running the show. Hard to do things like innovate, serve the customer well, make good equipment and grow the top line when the people in charge are looking through the lens of a spreadsheet.

Challenging KPIs to meet, highly driven culture, adequately compensated. If work life balance is important, this is not the place for you.

Cons

Employees are very stretched, managers are only concern about growth and drives people hard ; doesn't really hear/understand concerns and issues
