Rational in the time of COVID19

Pros

-COVID response has been progressive, consistent, and exceptional -Internal comms are informative and engaging -The integration hasn't impacted client-facing work/teams during this time (unsure how it's affecting other teams) -Rational WFA stance prior to COVID was a good play, even though it didn't apply to all teams. The systems they put in place for those who could work offsite are vital to how all teams work together/remotely today.

Cons

-Prior to COVID, my cons would've been lack of change management and the ad hoc internal comms that managed to always miss the mark; HOWEVER, big improvements have been made since Feb. Unsure of what changed in operations/leadership, but someone is finally putting the "people first" talk to work.

Pros

The onboarding process is awesome, work-life balance and flexibility are encouraged, and everybody takes care of others' wellbeing. Payment is very competitive. A culture of openness and constant discussion on future themes is enlightening in a lot of creative ways. Designit is a very well established brand. A lot of doors get knocked on, and a lot of doors open after you join. Learning experiences come from everywhere. There is not a single engagement where you leave empty-handed.

Cons

It's a consulting business with a design spirit. Clients are mostly big corporations with an oversaturated money-driven agenda, which is simply demotivating (you guessed it, fees are very high). Because projects change so much within a close timeframe, it's hard to get people to get to work on what they're good at (their specialties), so you end up with a lot of superficial work that doesn't transcend the client's needs. Growing within the company is hard because you don't know how your performance is being assessed and measured. Feedback is not very clear when you get it, because there is a generalized fear of being too offensive. A lot of information gets discussed publicly and this leads to people taking things very personally. It's a stressful gig, overall. ***To whoever is reading this from outside Designit: All Designit offices are very different in their composition, client portfolio, layout, management practices, and culture. This feedback may apply to one part of the globe, but not others. This is in no way an accurate generalization of ALL the offices, but a single viewpoint.

Pros

- Quite flat hierarchy and people are generally nice - Get to know some amazing talented and nice colleagues - Lots of personal space - Little extra benefits, for instance company friday's sharing, cake day every week, beer every friday afternoon, the yearly 4-days itrip... etc

Cons

- All top-dog positions are filled by Danes - Danish offices seem to get more benefits than the rest - Promotion opportunity is almost impossible despite a flat hierarchy - Some are not creatives at all and just here because they know "important" people
