I can’t think of anything positive to say - possibly the location of the New York office.

Cons

An exceeding terrible company. Culture, compensation, technology - it’s all the worst of the worst. HR is non-existent - I’m fairly certain it’s in the back office in India, like everything else at this company. I worked in risk - none of the systems works and literally no one has any idea what is going on. I expect DB to pay massive fines in the future (again) for completely inadequate mismanagement.

The on site team mates were genuinely great, supportive, competent, and easy to collaborate with. Strong peer group. The only good part of the job was the people working alongside you. Colleagues were skilled and helpful, creating a good team atmosphere despite the management and architecture issues.

Cons

Technical direction is inconsistent and often uninformed, causing constant rework. Management lacks the courage to make hard, or any, decisions or address performance issues, which drags down the entire team. Talented people burn out quickly while poor leadership remains untouched. The high turnover rate and unstable environment mean everyone is constantly rushed, doing lower-quality work, which only makes the situation spiral further.
