Pros

- you get 18 weeks of paid maternity leave if you have a child - If you happen to get on the right team, this is not a bad place to work. - Great medical insurance

Cons

- 1 week of paternity leave - good teams are few and far between - Exceptional workers are few and far between - medical insurance is pricy - Company is stingy with perks. For instance, Christmas celebrations and what not came out of our own pockets, no paid first day lunch, etc. - Developers have a lot of red tape to deal with that makes development more difficult - Full time developers are treated as if they are another contracting agency by the business - not enough bathrooms :)

Pros

Compensation is really nice, 401K benefits, Vacations and the accessibility of the area is nice. With cafe and gym it is perk.

Cons

Management lacks vision, leadership, very beauraceatic and influencial. If you are straightforward and like to do your work you would find it hard to work with people who haven't been from investment banking background. Many people are just there without competence, lack of roadmaps and vision makes it pathetic place to work for technologist.

Pros

Good work life balance and nothing else

Cons

Back office for London, no real leadership required in Dublin, just follow whatever they ask to do from London. The worse part is that there's no people culture: zero. The main motive is that everybody thinks for themselves with very little care for the team. While I was there I witnessed several abused from directors towards other staff members, some quite serious, but, although complains were raised, nothing really happened. The level of politics, especially from those in UK, is simply unsustainable and wears off after a few months. People tend to run away within 10/18 months. The level of technology in use is very conservative, even if Dublin is supposed to be a center of excellence. The pace of technology adoption is embarrassingly slow.
