Pros

A very state-of-the-art company when it comes to asset and data Managment. The company has many high profile accounts and a great reputation in the financial industry.

Cons

The location usually presented me with traffic in the morning and my commute was not always the best. Obviously this is situational.

Pros

Extremely bright people. Enormous balance sheet and not afraid to take risk. Tremendous international platform. Many high quality professionals.

Cons

Very difficult place to onboard as new employee. You literally walk in the door and left to find your way - from getting your computer, right down to finding the Bloomberg technician for your install. The talk is all about cross-selling product but the product silos are virtually impossible to overcome. Systems are questionable at best; the firm still uses Lotus Notes as their e-mail exchange. Bonuses were very poor this year. After two years of momentum in building a great fixed income business, the risk of defections are high.
