Pros

There's patches of interesting things and good people, you have to seek them out but they are there. A lot of old dinosaurs though

Cons

Far too big to actually work. You'd think from the outside that an org of this size would be very impressive but when you get inside you realise that just because there's 80,000 people working here, doesn't mean the place is slick and efficient, in fact quite the opposite. The technology is also very backward, 5 years behind the last bank I worked at and they seem reluctant ti spend any money to change that. And don't get me started on "Matrix management" the dumbest thing I ever heard, just means you don't have a manager, everything decided by committee, its just great!!

Pros

Deutsche Bank fosters an entrepreneurial culture which allows input on business expansion at levels as low as analysts. Their graduate program provides an opportunity to observe different business units.

Cons

A big downside is their systems. The technology at deutsche bank, e.g. computers, analytics, etc is not as good as other banks.

Pros

Great pay, stable company, has performed relatively well in the global crisis. High caliber people. Deutsche Bank treats its people well and is committed to providing work-life balance, where possible.

Cons

Stodgy German culture, difficult to make changes, global nature of the firm sometimes difficult to negotiate. Management are under enormous pressure to cut costs, and mange one quarter at a time, making long term investment in infrastructure difficult. Good people are let go to cut costs and then have to be replaced at a later date.
