Pros

Good benefit and vacation. You will get to meet with many people to expend your network. Multiple projects running in the center, so you can switch to different project if you would like and happen to know the right person. Nice coworkers. There are many training opportunities.

Cons

No raise every year unless you get a promotion. If you get a low salary at the beginning, then you are likely to have the same salary unless you are being promoted. As a matter of fact, it's hard to get promoted. The technology is based on the teams, but don't be surprised if you are not working on cutting edge technologies. The rating system is not reliable, so you might end up an Okey performance and you think you work hard.

Pros

Good central location in city centre for transport. Many cons but morale is OK in some of the teams , this varies from area to area.

Cons

Local snr management very political. Compared to London salary progression much slower, promotions much slower, benefits much poorer although work is the same and both locations judged to the same standards. When speaking to recruiters when looking to move the much lower Birmingham salary will impact your future earning potential for several years.

Pros

I can't think of one PRO for working at DB

Cons

Everything - was hired and told my job was going to be completely different than what I was doing. When I got there, they had nothing for me to do. For months I sat there not learning anything. The ONE responsibility I was given could have been done by an intern yet Senior Management wouldn't let you control it. They are overly involved in EVERY THING yet don't get anything accomplished because too many people are involved in one thing and no one can agree on it. They are only worried about their annual reviews. ALSO no promotions for 3 years. Dumbest rule I've ever heard.
