Pros

Opportunities for juniors to take on a lot of responsibility quickly. Colleagues are intelligent and hard working.

Cons

Divisional mergers have resulted in overcrowding of Directors/VPs in several teams, actually taking work away from juniors in some cases. Unnecessary management layers, increasing barriers to promotion, and zero performance-related bonus for employees below VP level make DB a wasted venture for any Finance Analyst-AVP with ambition. A lot of stress and responsibility for zero rewards. Morale is low across the bank.

Pros

Good extra curricular groups (if you get the approval to join)

Cons

Bad management (intolerable, inflexible no support) No progression Small yearly bonus Micro Management Poor work life balance Inflexible High turn over of staff You are watched constantly, if you leave the desk for to long you're asked why. Very Militant.
