Pros

1. Bulge bracket experience 2. Some sophisticated projects

Cons

1. Overwhelming level of uncertainty as to both the bank's future and individual job security 2. The only people left are either (a) naive, (b) too incompetent to go anywhere else (c) golden handcuffed to their positions or (d) some combination of (a), (b) and (c) 3. Politics wholly dictate management decision making 4. Working with colleagues who are uniformly burnt out, disillusioned, angry and depressed, and feeling that way yourself most of the time 5. Worst in class compensation and benefits

Pros

- International & fast-paced environment - Compensation - Lots of smart people with different academic and professional background

Cons

- Strategic direction unclear for years - Senior management doesn't practice what it preaches (lack of role models) - Bank is in ongoing "clear-up" mode over scandals and investigations, focus on innovation and business development significantly reduced - Challenges in corporate culture, e.g. decision-making and people management
