Pros

Location is great. A lot to do in Jacksonville and cost of living is cheap compared to traditional investment banking city's

Cons

Long hours. Not enough bonus. Need to recognize junior level employees and compensate better.

Pros

Very intelligent and cooperative coworkers, more laid back atmosphere than the location on Wall St. Management is in general good at directing day to day activities.

Cons

The Jax office is turning into an analyst churn shop. They are underpaying 2-3yr analysts and first year associates big time. In fact, brand new interns are making more on an adjusted basis than 3rd year analysts due to the company moving interns to the new higher pay scale while leaving existing employees on the older, lower scale.

Pros

Brilliant group of people, strong culture and diversity. Mostly everyone had an mba, phD, licenses. Lots of intellectual capital there. 20 vacation days. Small relocation bonus. Some opportunity for working remotely.

Cons

What good are all those days if you can never take them? They promise 20% bonuses to entice you to relocate there, since there is next to NO talent in Jacksonville. Then you get a 3% bonus. Don't fall for it. Disorganized management at the upper levels. No opportunity for advancement. Bosses are indifferent to your efforts. No adequate direction in how to do your job so your efforts are wasted when you do your job and bosses make you start all over due to a new rule. Lots of politics and some annoyingly nosy team members. LOTS of turnover be it doesn't take long for the smarter people to realize morale sucks and leave.
