Pros

Good school for those who are starting out in their career. Large clients, good training, good knowledge base. Large number of services offered by the company allow people to try out different areas and decide where they're suited best.

Cons

Pay doesn't get much better from starting position compared to peers in the industry.

Pros

People are smart, friendly and down to earth (depends on group to group) Ability to work with different practices and get exposure to a wide variety of business issues Fairly easy to get time off and take all the vacation days required. Sick days are usually never an issue either Compensation is decent for the total amount of hours worked In most practices, people get exposure to client management from very early on in their career

Cons

Practices can tend to be siloed and self serving, rather than being open to involving other practices on their projects Work often lacks a strategic advisory component since EY is a audit firm at the end of the day and the firm keeps away from giving an opinion A lot of the work can be review/assurance/audit based which is not inspiring at all People claim to be involved in employee development but at the end of the day, you will be staffed on projects that keep utiliziation high, without regard for your career interest Not supportive of people who are interested in pursuing a full time mba as the firm prefers certifcations (CFA, ASA, CPA) over a quality MBA (except for 1 or 2 consulting practices like Transaction Improvement).
