      Great place to launch your career

      Pros

      -Great name which looks good on your resume (Same across all Big 4 firms) -Can advance much quickly in comparison to other firms -Are exposed to a variety of clients in a short period of time -People in the practice are extremely smart while having great personalities -EY Alumni tend to stick together

      Cons

      -Extremely political especially when it comes to promotions -Pay is not impressive considering you often work 60 - 80 hour weeks including travel -Since the restructuring, the consulting practice being consumed by the auditing practice

      Pros

      EY generally has great bosses and as they preach, there is indeed the "People First" culture. Great opportunities and exposure and the management do listen to your needs unlike the other big 4 i used to work for. On the whole, would still recommend new joiners to join as there is a lot which can be learnt from the partners (they are very willing to share their knowledge and experience!! :-) )

      Cons

      The recent FEA and administration can be overwhelming. The targets set for employees are also, to a certain extend, UNREALISTIC!

      Pros

      Excellent mentorship/counseling program, good feedback system, I always felt like my manager was looking out for my best interests. Definitely a place where you can chart your own growth and make requests which will be taken seriously.

      Cons

      Wasn't terribly fond of co-workers - many were nerdy, not as intelligent as I would expect in high ranking positions, or some were rude. Work life balance is often an issue.
