      Pros

      - If you are good at playing politics then this is the right place for you. - Remote option. - Brand in Higher Ed. - Look for jobs "ONLY" in the Banner ERP product (cash cow).

      Cons

      - The new office in Reston is 70% empty. In fact, every office is empty. - Employees don't feel to drive to work. - Family and friends are hired/promoted. - Constant "REORG" within the company (senior leadership) and each department. - Lack of technology mindset. - Complete chaos

      Pros

      Great vision and ideas. Serves a greater good (higher ed). Good people for the most part. Lots of women in leadership.

      Cons

      RIFs, RIFs, RIFs. If job security is not important to you - Go for it! However, if you hate wondering who's going next then stop - don't work for them. In the Pros I mentioned that they have a great vision and ideas - Execution on those ideas is the problem. RIFs are done to balance the budget and they RIF tenured employees to save money. Professional services is a mess as is Cloud - it seems they just don't know what they're doing. The bright spot in Ellucian is the Technology Management Division - "they do-be-say" what the rest of the company gives lip service to.

      Pros

      Work from home opportunity. Good colleagues - passionate about doing the best for our customers.

      Cons

      Lack of strong leadership and organization. Constant "flavor of the month" direction and priority changes. Culture of weekly layoffs, reorgs and new hires. Staffing is below required levels to avoid burnout.
