Pros

Flexibility to work from home. Good working conditions/facilities. Open to using new technologies. Products are selling very well and strong company outlook.

Cons

Dublin office very isolated from rest of company. Product roadmaps change frequently. Some departments are understaffed (seems to be changing slowly). Pay increases are modest and can be less than cost of living increases year on year.

Awful place to work, gives me nightmares remembering it

Pros

MAY get to work remote for a while but the stress of the place is enough to drive anyone crazy - DBA's, systems people, developers, security folks, project leads for the schools, etc.

Cons

Not a great company, managers are backbiting and the way they pit people against one another brings out the worst in some of the psychopaths you will be working with. They reward their most loyal and hardworking people by getting rid of them by doing constant reorgs which means there is constant clulelessness and loss of tribal knowledge. Many, many good people have come and gone (some worked a short time and quit from what they saw). This includes managers and people who have worked there for over 10 years. Everyone talks about how bad it is. This place sucks, from my experience.

Pros

Salary, some colleagues, home working

Cons

No work life balance as it is a global company that expects you to work when they need, not when you are contracted, so 70-80 hour weeks instead of the 37.5 on the contract. Added to this they don’t have enough staff so the need is constant. I get over 100 emails a day whilst also on back-to-back meetings for 8 hours. The execs rarely listen or treat you with respect. R&D for Banner is particularly bad. PS works on the American model so you do 70 hour weeks normally. CS don’t get listened to, customers don’t get listened to. They talk the talk of wanting to be a good company to work for, but a few execs spoil it for the rest.
