When the University is closed, offices are closed.

Cons

There is not much room for career advancement. Expect to work hard for no reward or recognition. Most staff members in my department were not allowed flexibility to work remotely during a time where COVID was at its peak.

Students are polite. Average class size is small (below 30). Tactful president and provost

Cons

Lots of pressure; too many manual processes; Service responsibilities for faculty are lopsided. Several mandatory weekend work days and sometimes expected to attend functions in the evenings Promotion standards are not clear.
