Pros

This is a great university that puts faculty in a position to create cutting edge classes for students. The resources are there to be a good researcher and publish well. There are meaningful service opportunities that help bring additional meaning to the role.

Cons

The salary is good compared to other balanced/teaching university. The rewards for researchers can be limited and there is not really a path to being paid like professors at research universities regardless of productivity.
