Pros

the pay it pretty good, at one location I was paid $12 an hour and another location I was paid the salary of a server ($2.13 an hour) but then we split the gratuity of each event between the servers working it, so it was still pretty good pay. I loved all of my coworkers and my managers have been the most understanding and helpful bosses I've ever had.

Cons

hours can be extremely long sometimes if they're understaffed, I've worked 16 hour shifts before If there are no events, you won't work. There are times in the year where banquets can be completely dead for weeks, so you have to save your money wisely. dealing with rude guests, but that is just a given for working in hospitality

Pros

Co-workers were great to work with Discounted hotel stays Free food during the shift

Cons

The management only cares about the bottom line, I worked there for over 4 years, in multiple departments and people that were hired yesterday were getting paid more than me. You won't get a review or raise unless you push for it. Then the raise is $0.25 if that.

Pros

Sometimes you get tips you get to keep pop bottles. Sometimes you meet nice people.

Cons

I was made to work extra hours with Nobody can clean 15 rooms in 5 hours. Its just not possible unless you have super powers.I was sexually harrassed by a houseboy. Manager bullys housekeepers. I complained they said l was racist. There was also suspect workers staying all night cleaning with no extra pay. Manager gets mad when you complain so she'll cut your hours. She complains that people don't smile enough but they're working in a hostile enviornment. They are afraid if they dont get every room done assigned to them that they will get fired.
