Pros
Looking back on my employment at at&t, I can honestly say that the only thing that seemed worthwhile was the pay and benefits. I didn't smoke and was single, so my insurance was free and was accepted at a lot of places.
Cons
lack of communication of expectations, techincal resources for their sales staff, "toxic" social work environment, feeling of despair with getting anything done in a timely manner, constantly disappointed clients due to inefficiencies of a 300,000+ employee monopoly, lack of commuincation and feasible protocol between segments (at&t, bellsouth, sbc etc) and depts. Ever been to the DMV and been frustrated by the lack of responsiveness and inordinate amount of time it takes to get your visit complete? everyday will feel like a trip to the DMV and perhaps a stop by the social security administration. honestly, it's not that bad unless you question the status quo and ridiculous hoops you have to jump through to get anything even close to done. so, if you're a cog, then you'll flourish amongst the bureacraZy.
