So much is dependent on the particular organization. Some management is much more on board with developing their employees than others. In many areas, there is a very strong delivery focus, at the expense of some of the better things at AT&T. Change is hard, and AT&T is making big changes in the IT department. Health care continues to degrade year over year, but is competitive across the industry. A shift to location-centric workgroups has started to put a shadow of doubt on telecommuting, even though the company officially encourages it.
