Pros

You can make a crazy money, but what at what cost? Your sanity? Morals and ethics? They don’t care about you breaking the rules if you trending… but let them phones not be selling? Aw yeah you getting thrown clean under that buss lmaooo. I mean you get your own car lol…. Like I said. If you selling them phones, you could drive that jawn to Egypt they wouldn’t care. But they track everything, so once they wanna turn on you you’re cooked. So choose wisely. If you are okay with swindling customers, lying and taking advantage of innocent people, destroying their credit and future, stealing, making it seem like they are getting one deal and not getting a deal at all… oh yeah this the place for you lol. We get cool clothes tho no lie they was fake flee. You can wear basically whatever with the att gear. If you a hustler, I mean can sell sand at a beach this is the job for you lol. If you’re looking for quick money, a job that gives your transportation… this the one. If you want long term, don’t lol. You like having free time and a social life, don’t do it. If them phones getting sold during work hours you good… if not them joints gotta get sold one way or another. I was able to create beautiful bonds and have amazing life changing experiences talking to my customers. Those interactions are what made me love and get up for the job everyday (and the $ lol). For the first 2-3 months I think you get minimum commission pay + your base pay. Checks gone be fat. So if you wanna come up off a few thouwow in 6 months go crazzyyyy.

Cons

The management is terrible, the company lacks morals and ethics, and is filled with corruption top to bottom. I’ve been apart of sales that broke many codes and laws of the company, but hey 25 phones a month right? Your experience and success is heavily dependent on your manager, team, and what prior sales experience you have. The first manager I had was one of the best in the company, and I’ve ever had in my life. I loved my team and coworkers dearly, it was very much a family. But when we switched management, everything changed for the worse. You will definitely have to work during your breaks, after hours, during your off days, holidays lol… just be ready to make ATT your life because even the most successful people there have no life outside of it. Not all top sellers commit fraud, but best believe some(most) of sales aren’t clean. Think about it, how many people really are changing phone companies everyday? How many people actually have the money to switch and pay for the phones? In this economy? Especially depending on what areas you are trying to sell in. Team calls every morning, text check ins, team meetings every week. Some people had to drive a hour and a half at 5-6 am just so we came in to talk about #s and stuff for 10 mins… that could’ve just been a video chat and is all available to view via internet. The company has a long history of not being trusted by the workers or customers. Go ask people about their experiences with att lol. I’m sure it’s not just them, all companies have issues but I can only tell you what I’ve witnessed on the clock in the blue. The company doesn’t give a lick about the people, they only care about the profit. They outsource customer service reps so communication over the phone, across the globe, with accent barriers and very angry customers… you do the math. Not everyone wants a phone, nor needs one. Especially if they are already not satisfied with their att services. Oh yeah, and then the best promotions and deals get taken away. The best leverage you have to make customers switch usually ends up being “hey we have good service and new phones for you! We understand you can’t afford switching but we are going to hassle you about it and say forget the actual issues you called us here for!”

Pros

1 of the best things about AT&T is the training you receive as a New Hire. The company sends you to a designated location for a month's worth of training. They teach you the basics of sales and how to maximize your customers in-store experiences. While at training if it is necessary, they will pay to put you in a hotel, give you an American Express card for daily meals and reimburse you for any travel expenses in a very timely manor. The training you receive is top of the line. Next, lets talk pay. At&t pays their employees extremely well. With a base salary with paid overtime and full benefits and a compensation program, you won't want to leave the company just for that reason. They take care of their employees for the time you spend with them. Room for advancement. At AT&T moving up is a breeze if your motivated and a hard working individual. My current assistant store manager has only been with the company 10 months and is already looking at becoming a small business rep.

Cons

The work and life balance. The hours are long and tiring to the point were when you get home all you want to do is sleep and on your days off as well. Customers you have to deal with and the ability for a sales rep to control the interaction . That is one of the biggest complaint I have about the company. A lot of times customers come into the store hot and as sales reps we don't have the discretion or ability to waive ridiculous fees or fix issues. Everything seems like it has to be refereed to customer care which makes for a bad customer experience in store.
