Pros
Apparently a competitive salary! But after joining, I realized I was given responsibility that should have been handled by 2 Analysts
Cons
In the midst of great chaos there is also great opportunity! Well told by someone but not true for most of us! Being a Finance professional with several years' experience within the health Care Industry, I ended up working for BD; now regretting every day I spent there and every opportunity I missed during the time. Due to budget cuts, the finance part of 2 businesses I was going to handle, were previously handled by the Sales teams. Can you imagine the mess that has been created during 2 years before me joining? Flagging for all the great issues I saw and handled from day one, plus all the overtime I have worked for a short time period, led me to be terminated after a 2,5 months’ period; and I am still waiting for my salary to be paid due to bad communication within the company. This is my experience, and reflecting over the time I spent working there; there have been an average of 3 internal announcements a day of people leaving or new recruits joining the company on a country/regional level. I was based in Scandinavia. A small region for such a big employee turnover. The company preaches about wonderful things, but behaves differently. Being apathetic and desperate could be a positive trait to get a permanent Finance position at BD, for the rest, I would just advise you to run away… And run fast From a fellow Finance professional
