Pros
Stability and job security are a plus. Long term planning is possible and outlook is pretty good. Opportunities for transfer are plentiful.
Cons
Innovation is thin on the ground and risk taking is frowned upon. The departure of Baxalta removed most of the risk takers. This was explicit in the split off ("separation of risk profiles"), but those looking to make an impact may want to think this over.
