I was part of a recent acquisition by Baxter. The environment prior to the acquisition was truly something special. The company was full of people who cared for one another and for patients and their caregivers. Baxter completely erased the points of our culture that made it a special place to work. The CEO was completely disrespectful of others and this trickled down through the organization. It was impossible to feel comfortable there. People lied, treated others with disrespect, and the culture didn't value diversity whatsoever. I had such high hopes for the combined companies, but I truly feel Baxter leadership ruined any chances of success. God forbid I'm ever hospitalized -- I would request that no Baxter products be used on me.
