Pros
If you are targeted in a positive way, they will throw low-level compliments your way, like "good job!" And you wonder about those comments. They make you feel like a kid. But, it's just an illusion designed at silencing you.
Cons
BlackRock’s internal processes seem more focused on reputation management than on genuine inclusion. Advancement often appears to favor style and perceived “fit” over proven capability. Employees seeking accommodations or differing from leadership norms may feel marginalized. Performance reviews and promotion decisions can lack transparency, and often accuracy from the standpoint of the employee, leaving room for inconsistent treatment and discouraging those who raise concerns. Individuals who question these practices may experience pressure to leave or to remain silent through restrictive agreements, and ask many employees to sign a "release" called "A&R_FINAL." This was served to 3 of 9 colleagues who left due to "re-org," that never actually occurred. The company promotes a narrative of equity and accessibility, but many employees experience a culture of control and image-protection instead.
