Pros
Given a lot of responsibility and visibility with higher ups early in your career
Cons
No work life balance at all. You are expected to be married to the plant. It also doesn't help that most of their plants are 24/7 365 operations. The lack of work life balance is justified in other professions with a high salary, that is not the case here. Not only that but bonuses are heavily weighted by the plant performance so just because you performed well for the FY does not necessarily mean your bonus will be commensurate. Also there is little in the way of culture or morale. For Monterrey the plants are never running well, so they put a lot of pressure on middle management in the plants, in turn causing terrible morale in the plants. Lastly, most of the plants are in rural areas, and as a result there are A LOT of racist personnel there. Houston and Monterrey do not care though since all they care about is the performance of the plant.
