Pros

Private healthcare Okay package for someone who is still in early career steps

Cons

My 1st time ever working for a corporate company and never again. There is no progression for senior people it seems (some are stuck at the senior role for 5+ years and those people will take it out on you or try to manage you showing you your place) unless you know someone/are a family member of someone higher up. Business will hit quieter months and you will be the one to blame for it. Managers don't have any say and are led by directors and sometimes even pressured into bullying someone out of the job if needs be. If you are not around any of their primary locations and working fully remote, prepare to not be included in any social activities, networking or in general just prepared to be cut off unless you keep nagging them about it to finally give you some opportunity. Mental health does not exist there, they will suggest help but it will take months to be looked at and they tend to be quite direct asking you very personal questions to make sure they know everything to cover their back if things go South (yes, your mental health affecting the performance will be penalised, so you better off take some leave- speaking from experience) IT support is so busy and underpaid that you will almost never get anything resolved unless escalated by your reporting manager and if you do not do so - it will be your fault. Overall, anything you do is monitored very carefully. Be wary of a small things, including being late for a meeting by 2 minutes due to your connection to their outdated systems. Lastly- training opportunities: none. You will be lucky to explore different areas of Consulting as they do not want to provide you with any trainings that are outside of your job requirements.

Pros

no specific positives to highlight from my perspective

Cons

I worked at CGI in both India and the USA and observed similar workplace culture concerns across both locations. The only real difference was HR—India HR felt more supportive, while my experience with USA HR was disappointing. My employment ended shortly after maternity leave due to an alleged “lack of projects,” which I experienced as a layoff. I also observed what appeared to be misuse of position by some leaders, including blurred professional boundaries, preferential treatment, and expectations that went beyond normal workplace roles—at times resembling personal-assistant-style demands rather than professional conduct. Surprisingly, I also noticed inconsistent “policies” applied differently to different individuals. In some cases, it felt like the rules changed depending on who you were. When leadership became aware that someone was related to another employee in the organization, it sometimes felt like that person was singled out or targeted rather than treated objectively. Overall, these practices—whether through inconsistent treatment, perceived power misuse, or favoritism—undermine trust, damage workplace culture, and raise serious concerns about fairness and professionalism.
